Debut novel? Quirk to an idea? Twist on the supernatural meets Biblical? I'm inThe book was not worth the time or effort The biggest issue past the insane amounts of heavy hardcore medical terminology literally pages at a time and if you like me are not a doctor you'll possibly struggle as I did is that there isn't a single likeable character Not one Even the children come across as repugnant in the extreme There is no single hero or heroine to identify with and the flashbacks to the past simply make you want to reach out and throw a good therapist in the characters' pathsThere is one particular character whom the interaction with is actually disturbing and I am not a prude not in the slightest I won't go into any details to not spoil this one but there are some diary readings that are incredibly unsettling
